Zainab Al-Eqabi is an Iraqi pharmacist, para-athlete, TV presenter, and leading advocate for disability inclusion in the Middle East. After losing her leg in childhood, she transformed personal adversity into a powerful platform for empowerment, founding the Disabled and Proud community to challenge stigma and redefine ability.
Zainab is a trailblazer in sport and media—completing triathlons, scuba diving, and major fitness challenges—and became the Middle East’s first amputee television host through Yalla Banat. A global brand ambassador for Ottobock, Nike, and Volkswagen, she has been featured on the cover of Vogue Arabia and in Nike’s Victory Swim campaign. With academic training in pharmacy and social work, she combines lived experience with advocacy to inspire inclusive leadership.
